|DATE OF APPLICATION FOR A FOOD STAMP APPLICATION RECEIVED BY FAX|
|The purpose of this memorandum is to advise
staff to accept faxed applications. Normally the date a signed food
stamp application is received in the county office is the date of application.
However, if a faxed application is received after a day s normal work hours,
the application date is the next working day after the application is received.
For example, if a faxed application is received at 5:15 p.m. on September
1, 2000 the date of application is September 5, 2000 because September
4th is a holiday.
Handle incomplete faxed applications in the same manner as mailed-in or dropped off applications.
