"THE WORK NUMBER"
 
DISCUSSION:
This memo is to remind staff to use the Toll free 1-800-660-3399 number for employment/salary verification via "The Work Number".  For telephone verification, no other phone number should be used.

Recently we have seen instances where staff has been using a 1-900-telephone number for the purposes of employment/salary verification.  Using any other telephone number other than 1-800-660-3399 is strictly prohibited.

Please adhere to the policies and procedures in the memorandums listed above under Memo History.  All questions concerning accessing "The Work Number" should be referred to the Income Maintenance Program and Policy Unit.
 
NECESSARY ACTION:
  •  When calling the "The Work Number" only use 1-800-660-3399;
  • Any questions to access "The Work Number" should be referred to Income Maintenance Program and Policy.
