IM-4 Time Clock
FORMS MANUAL REVISION # 41

DISCUSSION:
This memorandum will discuss the use of the notices given to participants concerning the sixty (60) month time limit and the twenty-four (24) month work requirement time limit.

PARTICIPANT NOTICES

In May 1999, Temporary Assistance families were notified by direct mailing of the sixty (60) month time limit and the twenty-four (24) month work requirement time limit.  The direct mailing included both a letter and a notice explaining the limits and requirements.

In addition to these notices, county offices received posters concerning the time limits for receipt of Temporary Assistance, and an initial supply of the notices to be handed out to Temporary Assistance applicants.

Missouri's time limit began July 1, 1997.  This means the Sixty-(60) month lifetime limit is now in the 3rd year.  The original notices have been updated and have been given a form number for easier reordering from the warehouse (IM-4 Time Clock).  Each county will receive an initial distribution.

UPON RECEIPT

Continue distributing these notices to every Temporary Assistance applicant.  Begin handing these notices to those households in the process of completing a re-investigation for Temporary Assistance.  Replace the existing supply in your waiting room with the revised form.  They may also be used as an aid when discussing and explaining the time limits and work requirements.

NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Discuss this memorandum with all appropriate staff.
  • Begin using the revised IM-4 Time Clock notice upon receipt.
  • File the revised form, instructions, and revisions in the forms manual.
