| The contracts for managed care plans in
the Eastern Region have been re-bid. Under the new contracts, persons
with third party insurance coverage will no longer be carved out.
Mentally Retarded Developmentally Disabled (MRDD) waiver participants will
have the option of being in or out of managed care. MRDD services
will remain fee-for-service.
The following counties have been added to the Eastern Managed Care Region: Lincoln
Open enrollment for MRDD waiver persons, persons previously carved out and the new counties began in November. Enrollment in a health plan was effective December 1, 2000 for individuals who chose a health plan by November 15. Enrollment in health plans chosen after November 15 will be effective fifteen (15) days after the choice is made. A listing of all managed care counties effective December 1, 2000, is attached for future reference. |
