DISCUSSION:
The Medicare inpatient hospital deductible and the hospital and extended care services co-insurance amounts for 2001 have increased.  The QMB benefits guide shows what is paid by Medicare, QMB and the amounts the claimant is responsible for.
 
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
  • File revised manual pages in the Income Maintenance Manual.
