IM-27  02/03/00  FOOD STAMP FLIER


SUBJECT:
FOOD STAMP FLIER, "REAPPLYING FOR FOOD STAMP BENEFITS JUST GOT EASIER"
 
DISCUSSION:
We have created an informational flier for staff to use to inform food stamp households the FS-1 is being sent with the IM-32A, Notice of Expiration (NOE).  The flier also informs the applicant s/he may reapply for food stamp benefits by mail. 

The automated NOEs contain the FS-1.  County staff should send an FS-1 when the IM-112 is used to send the NOE.  Please place this flier in the reception area, interview rooms, or other resource areas to which applicants may have access. Copies of this flier may also be provided to community groups.

A copy of the flier is attached.  This flier may be obtained from the warehouse using normal ordering procedures.
 
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Discuss this memo with all appropriate staff.

  • Place copies of the flier in areas where applicants have access and in the community.
