ST. LOUIS CITY GENERAL RELIEF LOCK-IN REQUIREMENTS
 
DISCUSSION:
Effective July 1, 2001, St. Louis City General Relief recipients will no longer be required to receive health care from the St. Louis City Department of Health.

On May 31, 2001, the Division of Medical Services (DMS) mailed a notice to all GR recipients in the City of St. Louis informing them of the removal of this requirement.  The notice will also tell the recipient to contact the St. Louis Department of Health for help in finding a Medicaid provider and to contact the DMS recipient services unit if they have additional questions.
 
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Review this memorandum with appropriate staff as soon as possible.
  • Furnish Medicaid provider information to recipients on request.
