DISCUSSION:
Memorandum IM-#123, dated July 2, 2001, excluded the value of vehicles for the Food Stamp Program.  The manual revision for section 1135.035.20 was not included in the hard copy version of the memorandum.  The revision was made on-line.  The revised section is included with this memorandum.

Do not exclude the value of vehicles for households certified prior to July 1, 2001.  Apply this policy at the next recertification.
 
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
  •  File the manual revision in the Food Stamp Manual.
