| The purpose of this memorandum is to clarify
the procedure of reinstating a participant's cash benefits after the case
has been transferred to MAF for Support Closings and MC+.
FIM31148-01 "Child Support Exceeds Grant Allocations Monthly Report" During the four months of MAF for Support Closings staff will continue to receive printout FIM31148-01 "Child Support Exceeds Grant Allocations Monthly Report". This will help in monitoring if the child support continues. If, in any of the four months, the child support stops or decreases to the point that the participant is eligible for a cash grant, reinstate the Temporary Assistance cash case. Reinstating Cash Benefits For this reinstatement of cash benefits, an Application for Benefits (IM-1) and the Eligibility Reinvestigation (Modified IM-2) will not be required. This is not to be considered an application. The participant will not be required to apply in person, by phone or by mail. Staff will automatically take this action, as the information becomes known to the agency. This policy only applies to cash benefits being reinstated due to loss of child support while on Extended MAF for Support Related Closings and only to the four months the participant is on this extended MAF. |
