|"RECIPES AND TIPS FOR HEALTHY, THRIFTY MEALS" PUBLICATION|
|A supply of the "Recipes and Tips for
Healthy, Thrifty Meals" publication, which highlights recipes from the
newly revised Thrifty Food Plan, will be distributed to county offices.
It is intended for Food Stamp Program recipients.
Because of the limited supply, the number of copies sent to each county is proportional to the county's percentage of total food stamp households statewide.
The publication was released by the United States Department of Agriculture. It provides basic cooking and food safety guidance to people with limited skills in these areas. The recipes and menus included take into consideration the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the Food Guide Pyramid.
