BENEFIT SECURITY CARD MAILED DATES
 
DISCUSSION:
Effective February 28, 2001, the EBTU and EBTI screens will be modified. 

The "CARD ISSUED" field in EBTU and EBTI will be renamed "CARD MAILED."  It shows the mailed date for the most recent card.  The "FEDERAL CARD NUMBER" field has been removed from EBTU and EBTI. 

A new screen, EBT6, displays card mailed date history for all Benefit Security® Cards mailed on the case since August 1, 1999.

To access the card mailed date history, use the following procedure:

  • Access EBTU or EBTI.
  • Once on the main screen, press the F6 key to access the CARD MAILED DATES INQUIRY SCREEN.  For every card issued on the case since August 1, 1999, the screen will display the PAN (Benefit Security® Card number) and the date mailed. 
  • If the number of cards issued is greater than can be displayed on one screen, the message "PRESS PF8 FOR NEXT CARD MAILED FOR THIS DCN" is displayed.
  • The message "THIS IS THE END OF THE CARDS MAILED FOR THIS DCN" is displayed at the bottom of the last page. 
  • Press the PF7 key to go back to the prior screen.
  • Press the PF12 key to return to the EBTU/EBTI main screen.
The forms manual pages for EBTU and EBTI are being revised.  They will be distributed when completed.
 
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Discuss this memorandum with all appropriate staff.
