| Headsets and amplifiers have been purchased
for all caseworkers and case managers to use with the telephone and the
computer. This purchase was made at the recommendation of staff in
preparation for the integration of the Food Stamp Program into FAMIS.
The headset allows staff to conduct "hands-free" telephone conversations.
The headsets will also be used with training that is delivered by the DFS
Intranet. The headset will enable staff to hear the audio within
the training without disturbing co-workers.
The headsets and amplifiers are being shipped to the county offices. This equipment should be stored in a secure area until they are installed. The Area Technology Coordinators will assist counties in the installation of the headsets and amplifiers. County staff should not attempt to install the headsets and amplifiers until the Area Technology Coordinator is available to provide assistance with the installation. A meeting with the Area Technology Coordinators is being scheduled to discuss the installation of the headsets and amplifiers. At this meeting, the distribution of the typing tutorial software will also be discussed. |
