IM-118  09/19/02 CLARIFICATION OF RFC POLICY


SUBJECT:
CLARIFICATION OF RFC POLICY
 
DISCUSSION:
Memorandums IM-#39 dated March 27, 2002, and IM-#44 dated April 2, 2002, discussed uses of the IM-31, Appointment Letter/Request for Contact (RFC). In addition to these situations, use the IM-31 when:
  • an individual(s) does not cooperate with WIU.  When WIU notifies the county that an individual(s) did not cooperate, send the household the RFC to contact the caseworker in writing or over the telephone to discuss the non-cooperation with WIU.  If the household fails/refuses to cooperate with WIU and fails to contact the worker to discuss good cause, send a Notice of Adverse Action (NOAA) to disqualify the individual(s).
 
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Discuss this memorandum with all appropriate staff.
  • Use the RFC in the situations discussed in this memorandum.
