MANUAL REVISION 6: DEC 1973 REQUIREMENTS SECTION 1040.020.40 DETERMINING THE PENALTY PERIOD
DISCUSSION:
The average private pay nursing care rate is increased from $3,815 to $3,960. Use $3,960 to determine the number of months of ineligibility for vendor level services for applications taken on or after January 1, 2009.
The Average Private Pay rate in the on-line manual, DEC 73 REQUIREMENTS, Section 1040.020.40 Determining the Penalty Period, is updated with the January 1, 2009, rate.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Discuss this memorandum with appropriate staff.
- Use $3,960 as the average private pay rate effective for applications taken on or after January 1, 2009.
