- NEW MESSAGE ON SHELTER EXPENSE (FMXK) SCREEN
DISCUSSION:
An error trend was identified through Food Stamp case readings because shelter expense taxes are incorrectly budgeted as a monthly amount instead of annual. In an effort to prevent potential errors, a new warning message has been added to the Shelter Expense (FMXK) screen in FAMIS.
Effective April 20, 2009, the message "Taxes not entered as annual. Please review and update if needed." displays when expense type TX (Real Property/Mobile Home Taxes) is entered as a monthly (MTH) expense rather than an annual (ANN) expense on the Shelter Expense (SHELEXP/FMXK) screen.
Review the tax expense amount and frequency to ensure the correct amount and frequency are entered so the correct eligibility determination and benefit amount is made. If the information is incorrect, update the information to show the correct amount and frequency.
