DISCUSSION:
Due to the increase in the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), coverage for children in some households changed from a higher to a lower CHIP premium group. Premiums are updated to reflect a change in the amount payable for children whose coverage changed from a higher to a lower CHIP premium group following the FPL adjustments. A Premium Chart with a begin date of 4/1/09 is attached.
MO HealthNet Division is issuing refunds to households who paid their premium and include children whose coverage changed from a higher to a lower CHIP premium group. Households will receive a refund check along with a notice of explanation for refund. Questions concerning premiums should be referred to the Premium Collections Unit at 1-877-888-2811.
Premium changes for the annual July premium update will be announced by separate memorandum.
