IM-#81      10/09/09

DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES
FAMILY SUPPORT DIVISION
P.O. BOX 2320
JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI
TO:
ALL COUNTY OFFICES
FROM:
ALYSON CAMPBELL, DIRECTOR
SUBJECT:
FAMIS BACKOUT PLAN

DISCUSSION:

Effective October 12, 2009, the Adult MO HealthNet programs/processes discussed in IM-#65 09/03/2009, will be migrated to FAPC for use in the first pilot counties which include Texas and Wright counties.

Between Tuesday, October 13, 2009, and Wednesday, October 14, 2009, all county offices must make copies (screen prints) of all Child Care eligibility transactions and child authorizations, Temporary Assistance, Food Stamp, and Family Healthcare actions and store them in a daily transaction file.

These copies must be maintained in an easily accessible location for all staff processing FAMIS applications and actions. This file establishes readily available back-up files for each county office in the event of a system error or shut down.

TIP: Copies are not required to be hard copies, electronic copies are acceptable. To make an electronic copy the eligibility specialist can press Alt + Print Scrn key when a screen is accessed and then open a Microsoft Word document and press Ctrl + V to paste the screen shot into the Word document. Multiple screens shots can be pasted into one Word document by pressing enter while the Word document is open and then pasting the next screen shot. A separate word document can be maintained for each case using the HOH DCN as the title and then stored on the county’s shared drive. Screen Shots for cases in Confidential loads can be stored on the user’s local D drive with a copy sent to the supervisor.

As it is necessary to maintain accurate records of transactions, we are asking county administrators to set up procedures in their offices to ensure that all appropriate transactions are copied on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 13 and 14, 2009. Changes to existing screens in FAMIS were introduced in IM-#71 09/16/09. Separate memorandums will be issued regarding new screens.
