- INQUIRY ACCESS TO LIHEAP SYSTEM
DISCUSSION:
To assist field staff when determining eligibility for the Food Stamp standard utility allowance (SUA), QC Case Analysts and Eligibility Specialists have been given inquiry access to the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program system. Supervisors are also being given access as soon as processing is complete.
Inquiry access is now available for the following screens:
- LIHEAP Registration (E1RG)
- LIHEAP Member (E1MM)
- LIHEAP Application (E1AP)
- LIHEAP Payment Information (E1PY)
- LIHEAP Action Screen (E1AC)
ACCESSING THE LIHEAP EA SYSTEM
Access the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program website through the internet at www.dss.mo.gov/fsd/liheap.htm.
- Click on Community Action Agency On-Line Access.
- Click on the Energy Assistance Registration Screen (E1RG), also referred to as LIHEAP Registration (E1RG), box located at the top of the screen. The “connect to www.prod.dss.mo.gov box” displays.
- Type in the same Username and Password used in FAMIS and click the OK button.
The LIHEAP EA system and the LIHEAP Registration (E1RG) screen display.
The LIHEAP EA system is SSN driven.
- Type in any member of the EU’s SSN without dashes.
- Press enter or click the “inquiry” button to access the household’s EA data.
- At the bottom of the E1RG screen are a series of buttons and underlined links with other screens’ transaction IDs.
- Buttons display in grey boxes; when clicking on a button the applicant information is carried to the next screen.
- Clicking on a link accesses the selected screen, but the applicant information is not carried to the screen.
The purpose of the E1RG screen is to register the LIHEAP application. This screen also displays the status, payment amount, and supplier information. The STATUS field displays PENDING IN PROGRESS, ELIGIBLE, APPROVED PAYMENT IN PROCESS, APPROVED, INELIGIBLE or DENIED. In order for the EU to be eligible for the SUA, the STATUS field must display ELIGIBLE, APPROVED PAYMENT IN PROCESS, or APPROVED.
NOTE: You may access other EA screens by clicking on the screen you wish to display. If you experience trouble with your password when signing on for the first time or if your password needs to be reset, you may call the Information Technology and Service Division (ITSD) help desk numbers 1-800-392-8725 or 1-800-663-2647 for assistance.
