- BREAST AND CERVICAL CANCER (BCCT) OUTREACH CONTRACT WITH MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND SENIOR SERVICES (DHSS) ENDED
DISCUSSION:
Effective January 1, 2010, the Family Support Division’s outreach contract with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) for Show Me Healthy Women (SMHW) is ended.
This change does not affect the Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment (BCCT) MO HealthNet program eligibility or coverage. The BCCT program continues to provide coverage to uninsured women under the age of 65 who are screened and are in need of treatment for breast and cervical cancer.
If an eligibility specialist receives inquiries for referral information, breast, and cervical cancer screening criteria, eligibility and the nearest SMHW provider, please have the individual call the 1-800-4 CANCER (1-800-422-6237) toll free number.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
