DISCUSSION:
This memorandum introduces a new earned income code “FV – Filipino Vet Equity Fund” in FAMIS. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 created the Filipino Veterans Equity Compensation Fund. Certain veterans and spouses of veterans who served in the military of the Government of the Commonwealth of the Philippines during World War II may qualify for a one-time payment of up to $15,000.
Effective March 21, 2010, enter income from this fund as “UI – Unearned Income” source “FV - Filipino Vet Equity Fund”. Money received from the Filipino Veterans Equity Compensation Fund is excluded as income and resources for the Food Stamp Program, Temporary Assistance (TA), Childcare and all MO HealthNet Programs.
The FAMIS INCOME CODE CHART will be updated soon to include this income and other new income sources.
