- SUBJECT:
- DIRECT DEPOSIT SCREEN CHANGES
DISCUSSION:
Effective April 5, 2010, additional changes are made to the Direct Deposit (DDEP) screen.
- A bank routing number, account number, and type of account (checking or savings) information is needed to open a direct deposit account. The “HOLD FOR BANK INFO (KEY 'X' IF NO ACCOUNT INFO)” option is removed as there is not a process with any financial institution to gather account information. Accounts previously marked “HOLD FOR BANKING INFO” will continue to display the CURRENT STATUS as “HOLDING”.
- When new account information is entered the worker gets the message: “VERIFY ALL INFORMATION, PRESS ENTER TO SAVE”. Press enter and the ‘CURRENT STATUS’, ‘LAST UPDATE’ AND ‘OPERATOR ID’ fields are now populated without having to press enter again.
- When a new Client Number is entered, the screen is reset to display direct deposit information for the new client.
View account information on the Direct Deposit Inquiry (DDIQ) screen before making any changes/edits on DDEP. It is critical to pay close attention when updating or adding new information. Incorrect information entered on DDEP may delay the benefits getting posted to a participant’s account.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
