- MISSOURI SUMMER JOBS PROGRAM
DISCUSSION:
This summer the State of Missouri is providing a great opportunity for low-income youth, ages 14-24, to earn some cash and prepare for careers of the future.
The Missouri Summer Jobs Program connects youth with paid internships and work experience with employers across the state. Ongoing support and guidance is provided from professional peer counselors throughout the state.
Temporary Assistance (TA) minor parents and children receiving TA are able to participate in the Missouri Summer Jobs Program. They must sign-up at: summerjobs.mo.gov.
Attached is a flyer to give to interested youth. An initial supply is being sent to each office. Additional flyers may be obtained from the warehouse using normal ordering procedures.
This is a time-limited opportunity for Missouri youth. The Missouri Summer Jobs Program is only available until September 30, 2010.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
- Distribute the flyer to TA youth, ages 14-24.
- Order the flyer from the warehouse using normal ordering procedures.
