- FOOD STAMP FELONY DRUG CONVICTION QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS REVISION
DISCUSSION:
Due to policy guidance from the USDA Food and Nutrition Services, a felony conviction for unlawful transportation of materials used in the manufacturing of amphetamine or methamphetamine is not considered a drug felony conviction for the Food Stamp program. A disqualification for a felony drug conviction would not apply.
Question #4 in the Food Stamp Felony Drug Conviction Frequently Asked Questions and Answers section is updated to reflect this clarification. Questions #10 and #11 are revised to remove references to EUs not subject to simplified reporting.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Dicuss this memorandum with all appropriate staff.
