- NOTICE OF INTENT TO FILE MEDICAID TEFRA LIEN
DISCUSSION:
Effective immediately, the “Notice of Intent to File Medicaid TEFRA Lien” is de–linked from Memorandum IM #119 dated October 7, 2005.
Memorandum IM #119 states that the MO HealthNet Division (MHD) provides a “Notice of Intent to File Medicaid TEFRA Lien” to Vendor Nursing Care participants and the Family Support Division (FSD) provides the “Notice of Possible Legal Claim Against Home” to Vendor Nursing Care participants. To alleviate confusion on which division provides which form, the “Notice of Intent to File Medicaid TEFRA Lien” is delinked from Memorandum IM #119. Staff should continue to send the “Notice of Possible Legal Claim Against Home” to applicants for Vendor Nursing Care when the case is approved.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with all appropriate staff.
- Discontinue use of “Notice of Intent to File Medicaid TEFRA Lien”.
- Continue to send the “Notice of Possible Legal Claim Against Home”.
