DISCUSSION:
Per Federal Policy, the resource limit for elderly or disabled households is increased to $3250 effective for October 2011. Applications which are processed after October 1, 2011, will have the new resource limit applied for October 2011 budgets. No action is necessary for applications previously rejected for October on resources. The new resource limit will be applied if the household reapplies for Food Stamp benefits.
Food Stamp Manual Section 1110.005.00 has been updated to include this increase.
