- TIME FRAME POLICY CLARIFICATION
- MANUAL REVISION #53
- 1130.005.00
- 1120.045.30
DISCUSSION:
Per Federal clarification, the manual has been revised regarding 30th day rejections. Previously, the manual stated rejections were authorized the day following the 30th day if the 30th day was a business day. If the 30th day was a weekend or holiday, rejections were authorized on the second business day following the 30th day. Clarification is rejections should be authorized on the 30th day if it is a business day and the first business day following the 30th day if it is a weekend or holiday.
If an application is still in the controlled flow or has an ISD on the 30th day, FAMIS cannot take an action. The worker must reject the application using a Worker Initiated Rejection (WIRJ) action on the 30th day.
NOTE: For worker initiated rejections where the client complies on the 30th day after the rejection has been authorized, enter the information and complete the Eligibility Determination Resolution (EDRES). This action will override the worker initiated rejection.
The paragraph on the bottom of the Thirtieth Day Chart has been revised.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
