DISCUSSION:
A work group of eligibility specialists and county managers revised the December 1973 Eligibility Requirements and the Vendor Eligibility Sections of the manuals. This is the first installment of the December 1973 Sections. The Vendor Eligibility Sections are being released in a separate memorandum.
The sections listed above were revised to reflect the program name change from Medical Assistance to MO HealthNet for the Aged, Blind, and Disabled, to update terminology from claimant to participant and caseworker to eligibility specialist, to add information on FAMIS processes, to remove references to obsolete forms, and to add hyperlinks to relevant sections of the Verification Manual and FAMIS user guides.
Section 1000.005.00 APPLICATION FOR OTHER BENEFITS clarifies that the application is not approved until verification of application for other benefits or documentation of good cause is obtained.
Section1015.000.00 RESIDENCE (OAA, PTD, and AB) was revised to include that an individual does not have to maintain a permanent fixed address to be considered a resident of Missouri.
