DISCUSSION:
The average private pay nursing care rate is increased from $3,960 to $4,282. Use $4,282 to determine the number of months of ineligibility (penalty period) for vendor level services for applications taken on or after January 1, 2012.
The Average Private Pay rate in the on-line manual, DEC 73 REQUIREMENTS, Section 1040.020.40 Determining the Penalty Period, is updated with the January 1, 2012, rate.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff
- Use $4,282 as the average private pay rate effective for applications taken on or after January 1, 2012.
