DISCUSSION:
Effective January 1, 2014, the utility standard used to determine allotment to the community spouse has been increased to $318, the utility standard amount introduced for Food Stamps in IM Memo #80 dated September 10, 2013. Examples given in the online manual have been updated to reflect this increase in utility standard and the increase in personal needs standard introduced in IM Memo # 109 dated 12/11/13.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
