DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this memorandum is to remind staff of the child care referral source ChildCare Aware. This service works to ensure that all families have access to affordable, quality child care that meets each family’s needs. They provide child care referrals, education and materials for families on child care options, and information on what to look for in a quality child care program.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Refer families who need information on child care to the ChildCare Aware consumer education specialists at 1-866-892-3228 or to mo.childcareaware.org.
- Managers may request ChildCare Aware marketing materials including posters for the office, or two-sided rack cards, business cards, and tri-fold brochures to distribute to families who come to an FSD office by contacting referralcenter@2mo.childcareaware.org.
