- SUBJECT:
- SUMMER JOBS PROGRAM
DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this memorandum is to introduce the Summer Jobs Program and to provide the FAMIS coding for this income source.
The Summer Jobs Program is Governor Nixon’s initiative that serves eligible Missouri youth ages sixteen through twenty-four. The Department of Economic Development (DED) Division of Workforce Development partners with local businesses and community groups to provide jobs for low income youth. Individuals participating in the Summer Jobs Program will earn $8.00 per hour for up to two hundred forty (240) hours.
The appropriate FAMIS income source code to use for this income is WIA Work Experience (J2). Use of this income source will exclude this income when determining eligibility for the Temporary Assistance (TA), MO HealthNet, and Food Stamp (FS) programs. This income source is included when determining eligibility for the Child Care program.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with all appropriate staff.
- Use FAMIS Code J2 for income from the Summer Jobs Program.
