TO:

FROM:
ALYSON CAMPBELL, DIRECTOR
SUBJECT:
SUMMER JOBS PROGRAM

DISCUSSION:

The purpose of this memorandum is to provide the FAMIS income source coding for the State Parks Youth Corps (SPYC) and Missouri Customer Service Partnership project (MCSP).

The State Parks Youth Corps (SPYC) program provides youth temporary employment opportunities preserving and enhancing Missouri’s local parks, state parks and historic sites. The program serves eligible youth ages seventeen through twenty-four.

The Missouri Customer Service Partnership project (MCSP) serves youth aging out of Missouri’s Children Division or Division of Youth Service system who are not on a post-secondary path or career path. The program serves eligible youth age seventeen through twenty-one.

The appropriate FAMIS income source code to use for youth participating in these employment programs is WIA Work Experience (J2). Use of this income source will exclude this income when determining eligibility for the Temporary Assistance (TA), MO HealthNet, and Food Stamp (FS) programs. This income source is included when determining eligibility for the Child Care program.
