DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this memorandum is to clarify policy on felony drug manufacturing and distribution.
The felony drug exception is only allowed for drug convictions related to the illegal possession and use of a controlled substance. Convictions such as manufacturing or distribution are not eligible for the exception.
Individuals convicted of manufacturing and/or distribution of a controlled substance is disqualified and ineligible to participate in the Food Stamp Program.

- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
