- FAMIS CHANGE TO PERSON DETAIL SCREEN
DISCUSSION:
Effective June 7, 2015 new fields were added to the Person Detail (PRSNDTL/ FM0I) screen. These changes capture data needed to implement automated calls. The following fields were added:
- Collect email addresses for participants when possible and reconfirm at each contact. The email address is not cross-checked with the email providers and will not alert workers when this email address is not a valid email address. The email address must be entered correctly.
- This function is for future use, collecting information in preparation for sending emails. FAMIS does not send emails at this time.
CONTACT BY EMAIL
- Y/N answer to indicate if the participant will allow contact by email (when functionality is in place)?
OPT OUT
- “X” answer. The screen defaults to a blank line.
- Only enter “X” when the participant does NOT want to receive automated reminder calls (ROBO calls), or when the telephone number provided is known to be the telephone number of a provider, facility or other organization.
TYPE
- Text Message has been added to the Type field.
- Select a T in this field to send a text message reminder to the participant.
- Currently, FAMIS does not send text but will have the capability in the near future.
PREFERENCE FOR CALL (1-9)
- Participants select their preferred phone number for contact. Enter number 1 for most preferred telephone number. Enter number 2 for second most preferred, etc.
PERMISSION TO TEXT
- Y/N answer. This field will be used when the participant indicates permission for the FSD to send text reminders.
- Begin to capture this information as FAMIS will have the capability to send text reminders in the near future.
Permission to text will work like this:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- The automated reminders will go to the head of household for the case. Please be sure the information is updated for the Head of Household.
- The new information being captured is for automated reminders. This will not impact the FAMIS generated notices that continue to be mailed to the head of household at their residential or mailing address.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
- Beginning immediately, when contact with participant is made update person detail screen.
