DRUG FELON LANGUAGE ON THE INTERVIEW SUMMARY

DISCUSSION:

The purpose of this memorandum is to introduce new language on the Interview Summary (FA-102) in regards to drug felons.

The FA-102 now states: Individuals convicted in a federal or state court of a felony committed after 8/22/96 related to illegal possession, use or distribution of a controlled substance are permanently barred from the Food Stamp and Temporary Assistance program.  There is an exemption available for the Food Stamp program.

The FA-102 was updated to state that there is an exemption available for the Food Stamp program and drug felons.
