- TO:
- ALL FAMILY SUPPORT DIVISION OFFICES
- FROM:
- JULIE GIBSON, DIRECTOR
- SUBJECT:
- SB24 IMPLEMENTATION DELAYED UNTIL APPROXIMATELY NOON ON AUGUST 28, 2015
DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this memorandum is to inform staff that the SB24 functionality to view the online video and access the TA application will not be available at 8:00 a.m. on August 28, 2015. We anticipate this functionality will be available at approximately noon and staff will be notified when it is available.
In order to meet the requirements of SB24, a Temporary Assistance Orientation and Personal Responsibility Plan must be completed by all single-parent head of households and both parents in a two-parent household. If the customer refuses to complete either or both of these, follow the “New Eligibility Requirements” memo to add appropriate codes into FAMIS which will subsequently generate a “Request for Information” when appropriate.
Temporary Assistance Orientation
The customer can meet the TA orientation requirement by:
- Viewing the orientation from the following link on a staff computer:
https://dss.mo.gov/fsd/ta-orientation%20-%20Storyline%20output/story.html
Note: Staff must inform customers the Pre-Eligibility tool is not available at this time. However, it will be available by COB on August 28th and they can see the other benefits they may qualify for then.
- Read the written “Text Version Orientation”; or
- Staff reading the “Text Version Orientation” to the customer (if needed).
After doing one of the above, the customer must complete the IM-3 Orientation.
Personal Responsibility Plan
The customer can meet the Personal Responsibility Plan requirement by completing the IM-3 PRP.
After the above, conduct an interview with the customer.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
- Ensure all TA applicants complete the IM-3 Orientation and IM-3 PRP beginning August 28, 2015.
