- TO:
- ALL FAMILY SUPPORT DIVISION OFFICES
- FROM:
- JULIE GIBSON, DIRECTOR
- SUBJECT:
- TA DIVERSION PHASE II – Impacts Processing Centers
DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this memorandum is to inform staff of the changes to the TA Diversion program, which was first announced in IM-#1 January 4, 2016.
TA Diversion cases are now automated. The manual process used in Phase I is no longer needed.
Changes in processing include:
- Do not create a WIBCA (worker initiated budget calculation adjustment) to authorize the Diversion payment.
- FAMIS will correctly close the case. A supervisor or higher must not reject the application to prevent duplicate issuances of regular TA and a diversion payment.
- The verification field on the DVERSION screen in FAMIS now pends for the appropriate verification.
- The IM-32DIV is obsolete as FAMIS will generate notices.
- The FAMIS TA Diversion User Guide is obsolete.
NOTE: All TA Diversion applications are processed by the Jackson County Processing Center.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- DO NOT create WIBCAS on Diversion cases.
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
