DISCUSSION:
This purpose of this memorandum is to introduce revisions which will clarify the following sections of the MAGI manual:
- The Referrals to Family Support Division-Child Support (FSD-CS); and
- Sanctions for non-cooperation
IM Manual Section 1805.040.05 Referral to FSD-CS has added information to clarify what to do when an applicant does not return a completed Referral/Information for Child Support Services (CS-201) form.
IM Manual Section 1805.040.10.20 Sanctions for Non-cooperation has added information clarifying that requests to sanction a participant are only made by FSD-CS after a completed CS-201 has been provided by Income Maintenance (IM).
NOTE: IM staff should not sanction an applicant/participant or hold up processing a MO HealthNet application for failure to return a CS-201.
