DISCUSSION:
Eligibility Specialists have clearance to enter Food Stamp (FS) replacement benefits when requested due to a household misfortune. Eligibility Specialist Supervisors and County Managers have clearance to enter FS replacements due to benefits being lost or stolen from an EBT account. Replacement decisions and entries are made at the local level.
For replacement decisions made and entered by FSD staff, the original IM-110 must be scanned and indexed following local procedures. Do not send any IM-110 forms to Central Office.
For assistance in processing a replacement, refer to user guide FOOD STAMP REPLACEMENT.
The following has been revised to reflect the updated policy:
- Food Stamp Replacement Questions and Answers;
- User Guide FOOD STAMP REPLACEMENT; and
- Food Stamp Manual sections 1150.000.00, 1150.005.00 and 1150.010.00.
