DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this memorandum is to introduce the MO HealthNet for Kids (MHK) section of the Family Healthcare Manual - MAGI. This includes children with household income as follows:
- Children under age one - Up to and including 196% of FPL; and
- Children ages 1 through18 – Up to and including 148% of FPL.
This section of the MAGI manual contains eligibility requirements and benefits for non-CHIP (non-Children's Health Insurance Program) children.
With the posting of this MEDES manual section, the MHF for Children section of the Family HealthCare Manual - FAMIS is now obsolete and lined out. This FAMIS manual also included information regarding the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). The MEDES CHIP manual section is located at 1840.000.00.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
- Discontinue use of Manual section 0920.000.00
