DISCUSSION:
Effective 09/26/2016, FSD Staff will no longer have to populate the Food Stamp Interview (FSINTRVW/FM1B) screen when registering Food Stamp (FS) applications. The system will now answer the question “Do you need to schedule an Interview?” with “Y” and the type of interview as OND (on demand. Upon completion of the interview you still need to populate the type of interview completed FTF,OND or WAI.
Updates to the Interview Letter (FA-334) have been implemented to no longer have a specified date the applicant must call by. Instead, applicants are informed that their interview is due five (5) days from the date of application. FAMIS will continue to generate the Notice of Missed Interview Letter (FA-335) if the interview has not been completed within 5 days following the application date.
Updates to the Notice of Expiration Letter (FA-520) have been implemented to include a fax number so clients may fax their application/recertification or verification to the agency.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
- Utilize updated FAMIS user guide with this change.
