DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this memorandum is to update policy regarding Adoption Subsidy and/or Adoption Assistance Payments as well as Foster Care payments in MAGI budgeting.
Adoption Subsidy/Assistance Payments and Foster Care payments are not taxable income and therefore excluded in the MAGI budget. Enter these types of payments under the adopted child(ren).

- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
