DISCUSSION:
The Social Security Administration announced an increase to the SGA amount. Effective January 1, 2017, the monthly SGA amount for statutorily blind individuals is $1,950.00. For non-blind individuals, the amount for 2017 is $1,170.00. The Income Maintenance (IM) policy manual section: Appendix D has been updated to reflect this change.
