DISCUSSION:
Division of Workforce Development has implemented a new phone number for active ABAWDs to report their weekly Job Search hours. The new phone number, 1-844-487-0498 can be used immediately.
ABAWDs that are participating in Job Search activities should continue to keep track of their contacts on the Job Search Log. FSD can request to see the participant's Job Search log at any time. The ABAWD Volunteer Agreement has been updated to include the new phone number and also instructs the participant to maintain the Job Search Logs.
ABAWDs should be encouraged to call in their hours instead of dropping the Job Search logs off at the local Job Center. However, local Job Centers must continue to accept copies of the paper logs. ABAWDs can also submit their logs to a local FSD Resource Center or mail them to the Howell County FSD office.
ABAWDs that are trying to regain eligibility will continue to turn in their job search logs and activities directly to FSD.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
- Refer all ABAWDs participating in Job Search to the new phone number to report hours.
- Begin using the updated ABAWD Volunteer Agreement.
