DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this memorandum is to introduce the MO HealthNet for Pregnant Women (MPW) and Show-Me Healthy Babies (SMHB) desk reference guide and announce the revision of Family MO HealthNet manual sections 1855.020.40 Uninsured and 1885.020.60 Private Insurance.
The desk reference guide may support staff in evaluating eligibility for MO HealthNet for Pregnant Women or Show-Me Healthy Babies program.
Manual section 1855.020.40 Uninsured is revised to clarify a SMHB participant is uninsured if their insurance does not include pregnancy related services.
Manual section 1885.020.60 Private Insurance is revised to reflect that undocumented immigrants do not have access to affordable insurance.NECESSARY ACTION:
