DISCUSSION:
Food Stamp Manual section 1115.035.25.15 has been updated to clarify receipt of energy assistance benefits at the EU residence in the past 12 months, by removing the wording “residence”, per Food and Nutrition Service (FNS).
- If the EU has received energy assistance in the past 12 months, the EU will be eligible for the SUA, even if the EU does not incur out-of-pocket expenses.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
