DISCUSSION:
This memorandum provides updates to the MAGI Manual section 1805.030.10.20.05 regarding Joint Custody situations.
Policy has been revised to include:
- How to determine who the custodial parent is in questionable custody situations.
- Which parent can apply for MO HealthNet (MHN) benefits for the child.
- Which parent can receive MHN benefits based on the eligible child.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
