DISCUSSION:
The Family MO HealthNet (MAGI) manual section 1850.020.00 has been updated to clarify that when a pregnant woman is provided with reasonable opportunity for verification of citizenship or qualified immigrant status and fails to provide the required proof within the reasonable opportunity period, her case must be closed for “failure to cooperate.” An ex parte should not be completed and coverage for Show Me Healthy Babies should not be given automatically. She must reapply for benefits.
