DISCUSSION:
This memorandum introduces policy clarification and revisions surrounding Extended Women’s Health Services (EWHS) and ex parte reviews. Policy has been updated in the Family Healthcare (MAGI) manual to:
- Clarify that an ex parte review for EWHS is required when a participant’s one year eligibility period is ending
- Reflect the change in terminology from “review” to “annual renewal”
