MEMORANDUM

DISCUSSION:

This memorandum introduces the addition of Federal Hub Calls (H-calls) to the MAGI MO HealthNet (MHN) Policy manual.

Family Support Division (FSD) must use H-calls and state level electronic data sources to obtain information needed to determine eligibility for MHN programs whenever possible.

NOTE: Individuals must not be required to provide information that can be obtained through an electronic data source.

Individuals seeking MHN coverage must provide a Social Security Number, Citizenship and Immigration status and verification of these items. H-calls can verify these three items, which will eliminate the individual’s burden to provide this documentation.

In addition to the items mentioned above, H-calls can also provide income and Medicare information. If H-calls or other electronic data sources provide inconsistent information, clarification should be requested.

NOTE: MAGI Policy manual section, 1805.030.15 Reasonable Compatibility, explains how to treat income that is not compatible.
